Influenced by the Cowal Highland Gathering near the family home in Dunoon, Scotland, I have been a piper for over 20 years, successfully competing in pipe band and solo competitions.
I have played in various pipe bands including the LA Scots Pipe Band, the #1 band in the USA and I am currently a member of the Grade 1 Australia Highlanders Pipe Band.
As a professional piper I have instructed pipers in the UK, USA and Australia. Each year I travel to Scotland to compete in the World Pipe Band Championships.
I have performed and recorded with musicians including Gerry Kaley, The Milltown Brothers and The Paris Angels, been recorded by The Bond for their album "Beyond Songs And Stories" and had a BBC radio program made about my music. I have also played with members of The Royal Scottish Operatic Society and the celtic rock group Stand Easy from Los Angeles.
My original compositions are currently played throughout North America, the UK and Australia.
I play an antique Henderson ivory and silver mounted Great Highland Bagpipe and a custom made Scottish Small Pipe in the key of C.
